@Oaken Any reason why you don't just use pinning and Live Unwrap? Select verts, pin, auto-align, and you're done. No faffing about with UV coordinates, inverse and box selections and all that? Edit: You could also save a few keystrokes and clicks when trying to align your border verts (like in the arm) if all the border…
@melviso if you follow the breadcrumbs in the source code of operator FILE_OT_pack_all, the packing function used by it will only pack these items: * Images * Fonts * Sounds * Volumes (no idea what this is) If you want to do the same for objects, meshes or materials, you need to use Object > Relations > Make Local > ALL…
I am not on my machine right now. But for some files Blender seems to be able to create a preview on it's own, on some not. For example files without a camera, it just uses the viewport view of when you saved. When there's a camera in the scene, I think it uses the view of the camera. If you have multiple scenes in a file…
Docs question: where can I see what each of the operator parameters displayed in the Keymap interface do for default Blender functions? For example, I see a ton of parameters for the Loop Cut & Slide tool, but if I go to the Python API docs I only see two parameters that don't really explain anything. Am I looking in the…
I dunno, you'd have to watch a tut to know what to do, but it's not too strange a workflow right? Basically you ended yo make sure you've actually created a document the painting is going to be saved out too right? Still blown away by that Bastion fanart that someone posted in WAYWO a while back, that was completely…
I'm lazy and want to keep add-ons to a minimum, so if it were me, I would create a node group in a blank material, then save the scene to a .blend file so it can be linked / appended as a template, where you import that blank material and have instant access to that preset node group from any material in your scene.
melviso: the addon is updated you can now choose which texture to bake. We have added three new textures: Bent, Gradient and Opacity. pior: you can now switch between Blender Render and Cycles version. You will need Blender 2.79 to use the addon (it uses the principled BSDF). Some textures are now saved in Linear color…
It's all good, I pointed it out with the best of intentions. Not a native speaker myself either so we're all rowing in the same boat :) No, apparently I missed the last page completely because I landed on whatever page polycount saved as the last one visited and I had thought it to be the actual last page - apologies.…
But ... what does a "Favorite" even mean ? This term is never used anywhere in Blender (outside of the Quick Favorites shortcut) yet this addon uses it everywhere. So far the only function I actually understand the meaning of is "Save the active brush to a file", which creates a tiny blend with the single current brush…
@Justo 1. You can cycle through different transformation orientations by pressing the desired axis more than once. 2. Setting up a custom transformation orientation can help you moving, scaling and rotating things consistently in arbitrary angles of the object. 3. With creasing parts of the mesh it can be achieved, yes. 5.…
