Just wrapped up a new HUD based off of Storm Spirit with a friend called 'Thunder Spirit.' Been having fun doing these, although putting it together in all the aspect ratios is like a brain numbing puzzle.
too fast Zalakzik! you hurt me deep inside. question: is that glowing pink effect supposed to be up on his back? it's down at his origin or something in your workshop shots. Mine's gonna take another week. ..stupid work getting in the way of my dota funs.
@Konras if you keep up the quality shown on that PA set, as time goes by you'll be able to virtually work anywhere really soon. And quoting Konras: I will tell here what I always told to myself. Most important is doing this for fun. Profits come later. /thread
The underlying mesh was too highpoly for the polylimit and copying the weights just messed everything up. His rig is very tight and his posture doesn't help either. Not to say that you have to say in the polylimit AND keep some of the quills, those bastard eat up a lot of faces. Fun times.
small update, just feeling out the style i want to go with the armor. Cloth + frozen wood, should be fun and smooth sailing now that i've sorta figured out the zbrush pipeline while working on the hair. Thinking of calling it "winter wood drow" but open to suggestions! feedback as always appreciated
All this comes to light the moment I finish working on a courier? Typical. Good thing I'm one of those "making stuff for the fun of it" people (at least for now!), eh? :) It's still kind of strange that VALVe aren't more open about this sort of thing, I see no reason why they would choose not to be.
Design process is a fun. Number 1 rule. U must enjoy it. If u seriously want to earn some money, workshop is not the right place to start. Aspecially now. :) But here is the truth: When u start do draw, and get something awesome of it, then Zbrush sculpting... Man, thats a great feeling.
Hey guys, just to have a little bit more of information, not trying to create a debate about it. I did an item just for fun and to see what happens, right now it has 4 stars but more ratings than other assets I saw that have already 5 stars (I think its beacause someone rated me bad). So my question is, is there any…
@Vayne4800 of course! but fun is that valve doesnt show ingame screens on their shop just another loadout version @motenai thx for the kind words.. and yes i agree with you my colormaps could need some upgrade... i will mark that for myself for my next set / item try to get better :O
Finished up this set just in time! Was a fun ( read: tiring ) jam session of around >10 days, but I managed! Lots of thanks towards Ken for having such a great concept and being a great texture artist. Give it a vote, pretty please? http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=449756143&savesuccess=1
