I am working on this dragon skull to be but blender started interpreting the forehead and cheek areas as one and the same with the areas inside the skull. I hoped I could mask the cheek and forehead area and restore the volume inside but the mask does the same. Anyone with experience with this bug?

@pigart I was trying to go for more stone, so maybe I need to add more harsher edges. Its kind of similar to some of the stuff they did for Darksiders. Thanks for the comments for the first skull, really appreciated. What do you think of the goat skull?

Her forehead is sticking too far forward as well. The top of the skull should hit near the middle of the skull as a soft peak. You currently have a sort of plateau on the top of the head. Agree the face could be wide as mentioned by SveinY. Looking good face wise though.

I found an old raven skull sculpt I had made for an abandoned project. It was fairly blobby so I sculpted some more detail into it. I might find some use for it in this project. This is high poly feathers and skull rendered in MT3:
Check out the profiles of heads and skulls and note the depth of the eye socket (Orbit). Broadly speaking, the skull shape is lacking. In your next wip post, if you could post imgs without hair as well. I'd be happy to comment n crit
Hi Van you are quite right about that. But my intention their was to try and make some of the most recognizable traits of the original character as visible as possible. hence the odd shape of the skull. I will try to make more sense of the anatomy of the skull though. thanks
