I would model it flat, then Turbosmooth -> Bend -> Vertex Weld, no pinching at all. Best way to build anything that's going to be a regular cylinder like this. By doing the turbosmooth before the bend you've got a ton of geo for a nice smooth result.
go spacemonkey, go! thats wicked I agree with Neo on the nuckles. they seem a little funky. the feet look like they could go for some more geometry, getting some funky faces/pinching in there. and those stitches!! you're insane!
I am using maya to model. So any tips on maya helps better. Specifically, I am having a real hard time struggling with creating smooth clean curved surface without lumpy / pinching areas. Was it the topologies? or some tools to fix this? Here is the concept and the 3D blockout. Thanks.
Hi Im trying to make a hole in my cathedral dome sphere but having some problems to sharp it. Is difficult to add edge loops because it adds pinchs to the sphere mesh. Any idea how can I get a clean sharp hole? The only thing I can imagine is beveling [IMG][/img] Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Hey guys, Im trying to wrap my head around the scale in maya. Im settings up some renders and want to try to get a handle on the scale of my scene. Does changing the units under preferences, only change the size of the grid? And not the relative size of objects in the scene? Also, when i set units to say - inches, does…
Got it back but something came up 5 times and some gif is floating on the 1st row 2nd thread results of quick loading scroll down and back up, that sucks, backups ftw. We used to be able to save entire webpages, is that still a thing for ("offline") use...(to avoid this) they pinching everything now-a-days, oh your audio…
is happens everytime i zremesh or just subdivide, from a dynamesh. if i just sdiv from dynamesh more of the small poles pinch thing appear, http://prntscr.com/7zwlfx i really dont wanna loose the form of the sculpt when i smooth the poles with the "releasing shift smooth" option
Really nice work man. I just thought I'd add a bit to what Scudz mentioned about the likeness. Her cheekbones are actually much more pronounced than what you have and the pinching around her mouth make your model feel much older than the actress.
Thnx Well i used base mesh on which i am using normal brushes, but than i clean up in zbrush with ZREMSHER / panel loop technique and used low opacity brushes HPOLISH AND SMOOTH AND PINCH :) Well how can it have scratches when it never raced ? :disappointed:
I think it's a bit of that and a pinch of self delusion on the artists part. It's like making it in any entertainment sector... It's not impossible but it can certainly be improbable. Having self awareness and the ability to research independently are two crucial skills for anyone's development and success in life.
