I lived in Montreal for 3 months last summer while I was working at EA. It was one of the most awesome experiences of my young life haha. I didnt speak a word of french really and I was fine. the beer there is so cheap, like 12 bucks a pitcher at most places i went, one place had them for $5 on monday nights.....a recipe… -

lots of games have natural environments, and making believable and performant natural scenes is not easy to do. For me the big difficulty is identifying a backstop so I don't go too far. Nature is infinitely complex - computer graphics will never come close to capturing natures complexity - so you have to be very strategic… -

12 hour workdays every day? thats insane. get yourself a decent non-game industry job, with a pay you can live on, and work freelance, on a mod or on a indie game. making games is a lot more fun when its your hobby, instead of when you're forcing yourself to work way past your breaking point. trying to push yourself over… -

I'd strongly recommend getting rid of flash entirely; it just distracts from your work. Let your art speak for itself. Darkening the image and placing text upon it further distracts from the picture; I'd move the text onto the page itself. Flash also prevents people from saving your images (in a convenient manner, anyway)… -

Yeah I agree with you on that Gav. I only have 2 right now. One is from when I played college baseball and was a pitcher. I got a baseball on my inner forearm with flames coming off it. I throw heat so it was something I drew up and was original. My second one I drew up a design for a dragon with smoke in the background…
