Thanks! Thats a great critique. I took what you said in mind and put some more color variation in the desert. I basically gave the shadows a different hue compared to the highlights. I think it looks more settled into the landscape now.
Just a simple blockout, if anyone has any tiger refs it would be much appreciated if you could zip em up for me :) As always, crits and comments accepted! Planning on putting this into a DoD map for my Realism Team and maybe creating my own scene with this racing through the desert :)
Another entry for my "The stories of War" theme The M4 shotgun with a desert storm setting, red sand, urban warfare, close quarters, night combat Final version on the workshop here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=536225730 Love how it looks ingame
Added ceiling and a sliding "door".. also played with more settings heh. I went back to the warm lighting to see how it looked, I think the cooler lighting works better, actually, heh. It feels like it's in the desert now. I'm still unsure on the colour scheme.. any thoughts?
Think I'll make this into a little scene. Gives me a desert vibe for some reason too, so might make that a thing. Not sure how far I will get but I'll do my best to get this one in before the end of the month this time! :D
That's Syria and Iraq, for anyone who hasn't noticed. The vast majority of that grey swathe is empty desert; the vast majority of the population resides in the thin strip down the western side. Aleppo, Homs and Damascus, the three major cities, are all right up against that border ;)
Sir yes sir! I saved out the Bake Scene in Max. A rebake should not be a big problem. TexTools Material IDs applied as Albedo to easily identify what color what is ^^ Now i will go over to find a nice mix of Desert Colors.
I like the tile texture. Maybe some tile pieces(probably decals) on the ground can make the bathroom better. You know, it's such a deserted building those tiles which have fallen off was not cleaned/picked up by anyone. And here's a mutant update:
yeah i have done so much military greenish before so i tried to force myself to do something else, so i thought it could be more of a desert kind of hover, but i know what you mean. Thanks for the refs.
