Hey megazordprime I am graduating this summer and flipping out too. BUT while I'm in the process of finding a job in the industry, I have several small projects that I'm working on with friends and colleagues. And though I do something every day, I always feel that I need to do more, or that I'm not doing enough depending…
Greetings everyone! It's day 38 of my 180-day journey to improve my topology skills, and I'm excited to share my progress with you. Today, I completed a topotalk video, which taught me that there is something to learn from every shape. I decided to challenge myself by modeling a simple key, which was both frustrating and…
Nothing quite like updating with small changes frequently. Changes: zBrushed a plane and made bullet holes which were then projected onto the model. Made a Work-in-Progress detail normal map. Scrapped the old paintjob and made an faster process. Made some details for the right shoulderpad. Diffuse isn't as far along as the…
Hey guys I'm taking a self study class at my school I was hoping to create a 3d model of this Character. I've started on the base figure in which to build the character on, however i've never really sculpted a female before and i'm running into some problems. First of all my base mesh dosn't support the breasts, so i'm…
That's the problem. I could show you something but I don't know how it would help you. Also, that would the problem itself. I can't show you something I don't know how to do. There is nothing in progress, that could be showed. i tried to ask a question in such a way that shows I don't even know how to start the whole…
2: The specifics of the your renderer make a difference but if you're using a double sided material it's not going to backface-cull any geometry which means you're processing more than you can see and that's bad. for thin stuff - glass panes, cloth etc. its a good idea. otherwise, stick to a single sided material
More progress on textures, I plan to get them to a refined state by the end of this week. Any feedback is welcome and much appreciated. Also I cannot decide if I should use a white background or a darker background. So any advice on that would be helpful. (the light background variant is on the next message because for…
Hi! I think the non-rat elements look a bit undefined/ un-descript and the overall creature shape is a bit too artificial. The surfaces look untextured. To help with direction when making design decisions, you could pick an existing game and make the creature fit within the world and visual style. I too would also ask what…
Quick update: Some progress on the landing gear and power cords. Almost ready to start assembling the shuttle! Also plan on creating a based insulation material.
