that really is dark..you might want to check your monitor calibration..I pulled the image into photoshop & used levels to brighten it up a bit ..there's heaps of detail in there that isn't coming through the darkness I also second the comment about breaking up the levels with some trim btw..here's a 'making of' for the… -

Isn't Mass Effect a Sci-Fi game for the 360? You'll run into a few problems trying to paint "next gen" textures by hand.
