I think it's the fact that the green guys look a little cartoonish compared to the big ugly guy. Perhaps you could try putting more realistic eyes on the green guys?
I really like the windows - some great detail there. What stands out for me is that the green is very strong - a more desaturated green would match the reference a bit better.
Much better than Christmas red and green! xD Yellow is definitely good for the theme you're going for, so I say the blue is good, or maybe try out the green again.
could some one please make green and gold skins for the UT trainer girl model? if they could also make team skins for the other skins the model came with, that'd be cool, but at least green and gold for the base model would do me... TYIA
Okay, we'll be in London 21st August to 30th August. We leave a matter of hours before EGDC - sod's law! Anyway, we're not doing anything the 21st, as we'll be arriving that evening from NZ. We're leaving in the wee small hours of the 30th, so the night before is out. Actually we may well be at my sister's beach house that…
it's too green at the moment, i think some nice low and high tones on the grass would make it a lot more welcoming, right now the green is smacking you across the face.
Oliverth: In your baking options, where it says Green -Y, try setting that to +Y. Then you shouldn't have to tick Flip Green in your material and Handplane might like it better.
Did you flip the green channel? I take my bakes into Photoshop and invert the green... Second question: Does the same thing occur when using Mental Ray in Max?
Protip: When mashing together mix maps, use the green channel for the map you want most detail for. In DXT compression, the green channel gets compressed less than the other two.
