For posing + animation you're gonna need more loops at the groin region when doing the leg left/right movements. Undo those 3-poles, let them flow around. Do the same on the other side, because the center of the back clearly needs more loops.
Maybe it's just me, but every time I notice the lightbox script in use my hand automatically goes to the arrow keys. Left & Right arrow keys let you scroll through the pics easily. Works 90% of the time unless it has been explicitly disabled.
Higher Poly Assets So I've updated the platform lift pipes and platform currently. Here is the reference for the detail. I had a hard time visualizing how the top section was built and pieced together. The chains on the lift are also there to work in conjunction with the chain spline. Warning terrible drawing incoming. Hi there. Currently working on this Ranger character amongst other things. Here's my progress so far. Ignore the absence in detail for the left boot and sleeve cuff, I'll mirror them eventually. The hair is one of the biggest problems which is not looking natural enough. Let me know what you guys think.
If they let you choose your start date you can always try to push it back after your degrees if you only have a few months left to do. Edit: should have read your whole post, this doesnt seem possible for you in this case :P

I don't think there's any that hurt my art, everyone let's me get on with it (for now..). Sure maybe if I was left to my own devices in uni I would be better than I am now, but I wouldn't go back and swap that if I had the choice.
Another update! I started another blockout. This one is alot closer to what I had in mind. Its very similar to the picture in the top left of the mood board. I like the second floor balconies and the high towers. Please let me know what you think!
Ok not the best example for a need of edge constraint but something similar happens to me very often in typical modeling situations: Let say we want to soften the edgeloop at the bottom, without to loose the shape on the left side: Yeah, with manually work its easily possible, but that should not be the point of this ;)
Tectonic: Thanks for picking that up, I totally agree . Those tubes you highlighted could be much simplier. I couldn't decide whether to left the holes in upper beams modeled or cut them with alpha and normal map. I should have tried to let the texture do it.
