@ richwderby Gun is looking good :) Whats the Tri count and texture size ? @ ladyknowles Your Ivy needs alot of color variation. See how in enslaved its not just red ? It's a mixture of yellow, orange and red tho I would also include some green. Ah ye and the door look very odd going outwards without a trim.
where do i go from here? or what do you think is wrong with it? i tried you Hpolish and trim brushes but they tend to smash the surfaces around. I'm not sure if these even read like rocks. I was thinking of trashing this getting better reference and starting over because it seems i'm at the point of no return/recover.
I’ve completed the modeling of the first driveable vehicle! Now on to texturing! I overshot my 1200 triangle limit by about 30 tris. During alpha I will more than likely be trimming the polygon counts for models and the environments to help with performance, so I’m moving forward. [ame]…
@jaker3278 You work very fast! @MikeKhine Looks good so far. @Saaamoth Thank you! @PacoCasares Thank you! Since last time I posted I took my blockout and adjusted the modular pieces to be more universal. It changes the proportions of the room a little bit but it still feels good in engine. I was trying to figure out how to…
The robot is a cool piece, but I think it suffers from a few errors. The normal map looks really odd. A texture overlay across the whole flat is a no-no. If you want texture like this, rotate the pattern to match the flow of each surface. And consider which surfaces would get it vs. not, don't distribute it so evenly…
One side of my mesh is reacting weirdly when I Import from Maya to unreal using fbx. the colours seem to reverse and I can't seem to fix it I believe its to do with the mirroring and or normals any advice and help would be deeply appreciated.
Can anyone recommend a good trim-sheet tutorial or a video that has a detailed workflow (other than polygon academy on Youtube) , since it feels like i'm fighting the whole process just to make simple shapes (i'm improvising based on the principles i know about trim sheet) Like how to plan things , how to work with your…
So I had another attempt.. this time instead of doing it manually in Substance Designer I used Ultimate Trim generator instead as it was quicker and easier to work with. https://80.lv/articles/ultimate-trim-generator-for-substance/ Didn't bother with edge damages either and was extra careful making sure the corners of the…
Hi everyone this is an addition to previous material. I created the pattern procedurally in SD this pattern is not the same because i dont know how to tile non square pattern in SD and I also experimented a bit with material as a whole, tried adding stained glass like effect with metal trim I also added a switch node to…
@erica - looking really good, I'm kinda jealous. Here's where I'm sitting right now: took a break for the weekend, the UVing isn't done yet. Way more than 700 tris so going to have to cut back on some. The knees and probably her butt will be getting a trim. Thinking I'm going to have to remake the head as well.
