Mega reboot, probably more than the 10th version! I think I finally found a proper style for the rocks. I restarted without any sculpting, here is what I've got. I managed to reuse some of the rocks done early. The overhang will be replaced with the planks once I'm happy with the layout. Two quick renders, one just with…
That's basically what Obscura recommended. Except the additional optimization of only sculpting as much mesh as needed. No need to sculpt four wheels if you're going to toss out three in the retopo step.
New works: I did this in 2.5 days. This image took about 6hours from sculpting to post production. The sculptures in both images were done with Sculptris, a free sculpting program.
Thank you! I know Zrbush and Mudbox. Both are really good apps. You are right about zbrush's interface and workflow. It was hard to learn at start but after a time it becomes easier on the brain. :D Mudbox is a lot easier to learn. It took me a few hours to go from navigating and basic sculpting to baking maps and…
Queen_Skadi sed: Is there anything about my model that sticks out like a sore thumb that probably needs rectifying or revising? Any improvements you would suggest? Yeah that you are working from 2D sheets as reference explains some of the incorrect anatomy. Really it is the shape of the whole figure not really any one…
I'm currently modeling a red valentine aglaonema plant. I sculpted, baked, and textured onto cards several variations of aglaonema leaves. My plan was to model out cylindrical stems and attach the leaves to the ends, but leaf cards are just too skinny, making me need to make the stems skinny as well so i don't just have a…
greentooth I've seen a lot of Greentooth in other games. I want to see Greentooth's native realm. edit: I use: -Magicavoxel - hard surface, blocks -GDevelop - game engine and pixel editor (Piskl) -SculptGL -soft surface web based bare bones sculpting with fast brushes and retopo) -Blender - precision surface (rarely…
So im really starting to get interested in anatomy so i can sculpt more accurately and much more realistically. Once i get the sculpting process down i will start using that to create better characters. Im expecting to learn alot form this, so why not get some criticism? I plan to learn in this order: Head Torso Arms Hands…
Finished up just a tad more on the original sculpt, but I'm having a bunch of trouble with eyes. I guess thats why I'm just going to focus on doing at least a few of these sculpts a week.. Also busted (get it?) out another sculpt, this time I tried to keep it under an hour. I feel I could improve on a lot, but all in all…
