You're going to want to do 1-bit alpha cards to do the fur. You're going to dig for the previous character art tests that have been done for Arenanet. A lot of the same techniques and technical solutions are being asked of this creature NPC, presumably.
Hi, I've been using the Vray converter in Subtance Designer and it's amazing! thanks Nic. However I got a stronger fresnel in Vray than in Substance Designer, not sure how to get rid of it. Any idea or am I doing something wrong?
Even though I would love to keep on animating Nyx during my free time, I need some paying work. Contact me at jpselfanimator@gmail.com if you have an freelance or full-time animation opportunities. https://vimeo.com/219691964
3 things! - Awesome job, I love it. - How is the "NCC 1701 F" done? A decal from another texture? - Could you do a cross reference of areas of the ship to where they are on the texture? For instance - the lit windows, where are they on the sheet? Etc. Thanks!
my point is that it wasn't written in a way that i could take it seriously. why would somewhere like nbc write "he shot her in the face"? surely it would be "he shot her at point blank range". i dunno... it's just not right =/
Seems like you accomplished your goal. The result isn't bad for a school project. I do think from a design standpoint, he is rather bland and uninteresting. He looks like a background NPC. Not sure what you planned on using him for.
That's one thing that bothered me about Skyrim, you just have a body size slider, and your only options are skinny buff or bulky buff, with some options in between. Every NPC, even homeless people, are ripped once you steal their stuff.
Well, not much I can do anyway, I assumed he went to the same school you taught the class, but it doesnt seem that way. Oh well, good luck with it if you can tear Nic away from what he's currently working on.

Hi guys, I want to show you some of my work for the metro last light, I made just about 50 characters including NPC constructor. Almost all models (including monsters) based on fixed skeleton from metro 2033. * I hope you enjoy. And critique is very welcome!)
