Just some aspects that jump out to me: - The lanterns and poles and cobblestones are too large/thick compared to the human figure. - Parts of the scene look unrefined/blockout-like, for example the hotel building. - Road surface too uniform. I feel your pain. Painter is a non-stop puzzles maker . In my experience it's some baked random poly-group id colors or mismatching AO that is included in your masking or gazillion other reasons you may waste a day trying to figure out. It's exactly why I prefer Substance Designer even for 3d objects texturing. At least… -

I was fine-art educated so to me it's not art unless it delivers a personal message and pretty much any creation that does that counts as art (sadly that includes nailing a banana to a wall). If we translate that to video games then the game director is the artist - the rest of us are helping. -
