I like that Bravefire, reminds me of Warcraft III which I've spent shitloads of time playing :) Textures look a bit dirty though. Maybe try showcasing without texture filtering on and flat diffuse lighting
JimJim Digging that style you got there, very painterly, showing visible brush strokes. Can I see some flats? Riv3t Nice little creature, he looks like one of those hoppers from Zelda?
Yeah what giles said about adding more hues to the skin will really help, but also the current lighting on the muscles makes them look really flat and metallic. The boots seem to be lacking in seams/detail compared to the rest.
Do you mean like making the actual eye geometry so that is rises out a a bit (instead of being flat surface) OR, to move the eyes lower and make the lower part of the eye connect with the edge of the cavity that surrounds the eye?
Poop - That Beastman is awesome. The concave part on the horns is really well painted: I tought it was made by poligons... But it's flat. Awesome work! :D Shaka - Lovely! Reminds me a lot of Dr. Slump, maybe because of the visual style. ^_^
full fledged tumblr nose goin' on right here! Beyond that, the face is incredibly flat and weird looking. the whole model seems rather stiff and/or off proportion. makes it seem like it'd fall over at a moment's notice
Awesome, can we see some flats or is it just for oogling? :) @Sparr : you could whip something up pretty quickly using a step/posterisation function on the lighting - would be easiest using something like shader forge for sure.
fflawpunk: Looks like she deforms pretty well. If you post some wireframes we could critique the model. As for the texture, it looks good but very flat since you don't really have any ambient shading in the texture.
Happy Halloween everyone :) This will be the cross posting with 2013 Edition. I had chance to make this book in class. This is flat diffuse shot without no light and shadow inside Marmoset, except the first image. I hope you guys like this :)
Made these guns to go along a not so low-poly character that's sadly a bit too high low poly for this thread (1666 tris). Was trying to go for an old game look with flat cell-shaded lighting: All textures are 512x512.
