The armor parts aren't modelled in z-brush but in Maya. The only thing I did with them in z-brush was adding bolts and other details. For making the armor I used classic subdivision modelling. I had a very lowpoly mesh on which I added double edgeloops where I wanted sharper edges when subdividing. Here's an old WIP pic…

My main critique would be that his armor looks really impractical. How would it bend if he tried to lift his hands above his head? I seems to be solid around his shoulder, chest, and even in his arm pit. Why is it so heavy and thick even though it only covers minor parts of his body? There's a reason that typical body…
Hi guys, This is my first post here ^_^ Here is a wip of my Orc warrior :poly127: I started him in Zbrush from a sphere with the intention of only practice a "ugly face" because I make pretty girls and boys most of the time. I usually model all in Luxology Modo and sculpt details in Zbrush, but this time it's going to be…

Thank you everyone for the awesome feedback! Here is an update with the armor/gear blocked out. @Redczech Thank you for your feedback on the armor. I've made it a bit more asymmetrical in the block out and have tried to make it look like various found scraps of armor, cloth and pelts that have been slapped together. @JHS I…
Whats up guys. I know my way around photoshop pretty well when it comes to making textures for 3d models and stuff but I've never really done digital painting/concept art. This basically my first digital painting. I'm liking how it's looking so far but I'm having trouble painting believable reflection on the armor. Though…
Great job so far man, the materials on the armor and bone stuff are reading really well! There are a couple of things with the anatomy that are bothering me tho. -The rib cage area, I guess thats what its suppose to be (area above the abs in a half circle)... That just looks strange and off to me. I would smooth that out…
