Re: How much does Double Precision performance matter?
The 750 and 750ti are already powered by the maxwell gpu. The 900series currently is only the high end maxwell series. Maybe nvidia does the same again and the 950 and 950ti will make use of a new architecture which will be present in the next high end series. -

Well. Technically... I could make the argument that the GPU's in there are probably chips from the Radeon 8**** series rather than the currently available 7**** series. But that will only be a 'generation gap' for a few months, and it says fuckall about performance. Same for the CPUs. -

A couple pieces I recently finished. Part of a larger planned series of models for an idea I had. Taking a break to add some variety to my portfolio before GDC (first time!), but I definitely want to get back to this series after that. It's been a lot of fun! -

That was quite nice. :) I always did like Firefly and him showing up is promising. Maybe they'll let him get his hands dirty. Is this a full on new series or just a single movie they're breaking into pieces to prep for the movie and what not? Hopefully a continuing series. -

I got an email back from them and they said Marmoset has been tested on Radeon 5000 and 6000 series cards, not yet on the 7000 series of cards though. They're concerned about it and looking into a fix for it. I'll post back here once I've gotten another response. -

That looks sweet! I can't wait to see it. The narnia series was one of my favorite as a kid. I wonder if disney is going to do the rest of the series. They probably will depending on how well this one does, so go see it everyone! Just go to a late showing to avoid the children.
