I would like to achieve photorealism, yet I am quite unsure what I am missing and what I can adjust/change/add etc.. Made in UE5 More info can be provided if asked but generally speaking all that I am trying to achieve here is photorealism in areas such as light, tones and general composition.
Rigging is a big subject. There are particular gotchas with game rigging, that don't apply when rigging for film or rendering. I did some searching, it's amazingly difficult to find the info that is specific to the pitfalls with rigging for games. Here's some info worth reading. It's for Maya but the same principles apply…
ya they drain energy, but are mostly used in areas with inf's and radiars attacking since being one of those classes with no energy means our shield dropping or falling out of cloak, and being eaten by turrets.
This is good info. I didn't know about 'texture fetching' and I haven't jumped into understanding the HLSL code yet. I'm trying, but my schedule is very busy these these few weeks. :) Thanks for the info! So you're saying that by removing the alpha channel, it drops a texture fetch. Me, assuming a texture fetch includes…

Good luck with that. I had to supply a sales tax number before I got paid. Maybe an idea to register yourself for that purpose if you plan to make money with this on a regular basis. I know there is a lot of info on the CGT site. Perhaps that will help. I'm sure someone will drop by with better info.
@SynShenron Thank you, but there are a lot of errors aha when I'm looking right now. For blocking I'm using spheres Zremeshed before, and smooth them using Deformation / Smooth and Relax tools + Inflate if needed. Then put everything on the right places following general volume of main muscules that are visible. For…
I took the lookdev class and it was not worth it. It is around $600 for one class, which is absurd. You can get all basic info on these programs and practices for $45 at Digital Tutors or Gnomon DVD's. Anything technically advanced can be learned at FHPHD for 1/3 of the cost. You get THREE classes for $500 rather than just…
Make sure you have a driver loaded for it, well more of just an .inf file for the device manager so Windows knows what it is. See if there are any utils to make it go into a standard (non-wide) mode.
