Update time! Been chugging along steadily over this week. Made a bunch of tweaks to everything and I actually started enjoying myself instead of stressing out haha. Biggest change since last time is I've split the shoulder off to a seperate mesh so she can actually move her arms, i also made an inside portion of the knee… -

your HP edges are waaaay too tight and are making the capture of edge lightning very hard. Also yeah , the uvw unwrap is a tad wastefull... i uploaded some time ago examples of some guns i did , you can take a look at what i mean first hand, im terrible with words xD… -

If you're creating the track using a Loft or a Sweep or some other spline technique, then you can have it assign UVs that follow the track automatically. After modeling is complete, you can use Spline Mapping in the Unwrap UVW modifier. Spline Mapping tutorial… -
