Hi ! I just finished a sword for a friendly art contest ! The model is based on a concept from the World of Warcraft artbook It has been a long, long time since I did hand painted stuff but it was really fun to do ! I have a lot of projects for the future !! >:)
I am liking this a lot. It goes away from your standard World of Warcraft "stylized/painted textures" yet is still obviously painterly. Excited to see what the leaves look like.
very cool! i think that could exactly be out of world of warcraft! except in china! i read that blizzard had to remove all the bone-like stuff from props and also characters ;)
if developers were worried about being sued for, or even pulled up on, for lifting the style and look of other characters/environments, someone would have pulled the plug on Warcraft a long time ago
I am looking for a 3D Artist/Animator job and thouht if it was a good idea to make portfolio peices that is tailored to the company that your applying to. For instance, if you were espeically interested in getting a job at a certain company like blizzerd, you could make World of Warcraft characters. Or Star Wars characters…
Give consumers this in real-time and interactive, and I'm pretty sure they'll notice. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvYXoyxLv64"]World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Cinematic Trailer - YouTube[/ame] Are we seriously considering the current consoles 'good enough'?
Wow! Nice concepts, I am a huge fan of Northrend and everything snowy/mountainy in the Warcraft universe, so I will definitely follow your progress. You have a typo in the penultimate image, your description says Northrend but it should probably be Auchindoun.
After reading his quote the other day, I'm pretty sure he got angry because the protestors had gotten in his way when he was driving home. Causing him to be late for his 7pm raid event in World of Warcraft.
what inspired me to get into this industry, and well, im working towards animation for games, but Blizzard cinematics did it for me... not there new in-game shit. but their full blown intro movies. ever since warcraft 2, ive wanted to work on stuff like that
Bought this book at Barnes and Noble the other week. Pretty neat as well. [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Cinematic-Art-World-Warcraft-Wrath/dp/1933784814/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1232612093&sr=8-2[/ame]
