Seriously guys, don't know what I would do without you. Tried baking my gun, and the result is beautiful. The "put seams where there are hard edges trick" worked like a charm. This takes off a lot of stress (PS, that's not the whole gun obviously :P)
I would say its doubtful that it is "basic" or easily reproduced in photoshop. These are stand alone apps written specifically to do these algo's, if it was something you could simply do with built in PS filters or whatever, why would anyone bother writing entirely new programs to do it?
A couple more heads from me. First one is another model from MoP. The other is from nkoste. With all of these I've been trying a new workflow for texturing using gradient maps in PS. Never used so many adjustment layers before in my life.
+1 for Renauld's idea. But the color wheel like: http://www.anastasiy.com/colorwheel is really easy. The PS version of this is flash based so it takes a minute to load and is sometimes slow. Really nice addition to Toolbag jeffdr! Can't wait to see what you end up doing.
Has anyone posted this yet? - http://www.gamecareerguide.com/features/1108/game_developer_salary_survey_2012.php - There's a huge gulf between someone with less than 3 years in the biz and a senior pooh-bar with 6+ Still he's bringing traffic to that site for ad clicks if anything. @sltrOlsson Thanks! I didn't know UE4 had something like that. I'll have to test it out later on performance. Here´s another asset: It's the typical low poly facade to be seen in the distance. Still needs the rest of the building though. Texture is made by hand on PS.
Hi Deadly Nightshade, Thank you for the report. Is the problem that the toolbar + NDO + DDO all stay behind Photoshop? If so this means the SUITE has problems connecting with PS, and the issue will need to be attacked differently on our end. Let me know and my apologies for the confusion. - Teddy
Great job, I would really luv to know a bit about your texturing process, what do you use for painting?... Max's canvas?... do you work strictly in PS, any ddo work?... anyways great work, definitely front page worthy...
thanks, and well.. UV's yeah, I just g set it at box mapping and fake it as best as I can, otherwise this would take too long .. fake it till you make it :) , use PS to randomise and fake more.. also here's a royal naboo cruiser /fantasy
decided i wanted to make a desktop of this, so i started comping it together. Ill be using a combination of realtime and ps for the final image. Im seeing bullets flying, smoke and fire on the horizon, and some silhouettes of other units in the sky...some mutas and maybe some broods:)
