Big thanks for creating this wonderful little plugin!!! I made a test example to prove it works. The example is a simple window baked on a very low poly mesh with very soft normals. I made it into two smoothing groups to not stress the normals too much. But I am very happy about the result. Cheers! /Jenz
Lucked out. We were up at my father's office attempting to fix the server (no go, so fun amounts of stress from that), and my father went to a nearby Vic Hubbard shop and managed to get a new float... I'm going now to try it out. Maybe this weekend wont be a total waste and total shite.
Models look good....I like that you put the ingame shots in the demo...you could probly consolidate the demo and your models on one page...although I don't think it is that big of a deal... I wouldn't stress too much maybe show some flats and wires too P.S. I loved you in Legend
I figured you weren't being serious but I still wanted to stress that the weapon was untextured ;) Secondly, Jon (programmer) can also model so he will be doing some weapon models. :poly122: Glad you guys like what we do. We hope to have a playable demo at the end of this year. Thomas
Hey guys! I recently did a character art test for Riot, the limits were 8k polys and 1 2k texture. I know I would have been able to have fewer polys but because I had to do this in 2 weeks I decided not to stress about it :) And this was the first time I do handpainted textures. C&C welcome and appreciated!
@Biomag Thankyou! What you said is completely true and points me in the right direction. I know a lot of my work needs improvement and the advice I have been getting gives me a starting point. I did just graduate college, so I did not have as much time as I wish to really get great work done because of stress and anxiety.
It might help the OP to give some examples about what happens on an average workday. Until you've experienced working in a game studio, from the outside it's pretty much a black box. What is it really like? When I chat with potential new hires, there's often quite a bit if stress about all the unknowns. We have quite a few…
Here is another weekly update of the gun. I think it'll be finished in the next two weeks and it has been a wonderful experience and very exciting at the same time. There have been struggles with a few parts but checking references and asking for details have saved me a lot of stress =D Feel free to criticize and give…
i agree wholeheartedly with pixel-masher. Companies like to stress that they're giving you more money to work on contract too, but they usually just pay you the exact same. They also tend to expect contract workers to work the same amount of over-time as full-time employees, even though none of the perks (bonuses,…
Apparently I am way more productive if there is pressure and stress imposed on me :) Here is my progress so far, next up uv's and texturing and the weapon too. The model is just 16k polys, I will reduce it to around 15k or 14k since there are few polygons that are not visible, like inside of the belt that I forgot to…
