The easiest way i've found to make cars is basically what everyone else is saying, using highpoly modelling then optimising the result. Shadows are too sharp, did you use ray tracing? In a scene with that much light you'd never get sharp shadows, they are bombarded with bounce lighting and the edges are softened. Next time you're out and about take a look under a car, and note how soft the edges of the shadow are. Try using shadow map with a higher sample… -

I wouldn't worry about the effects until the anim is at a good place, the effects should just be the icing on the cake. f7 - he's off balance. He lifts his back foot up at the same the moves back. he would fall over pretty quickly. f8 - spacing pop for back leg. f10 - back foot looks like it's floating about when it should… -

well u just use it where its needed. i had a time where i did all the painting with it tho u can have semismooth results even with the pencil gotta work on very low opacity most of t he time and boost it up when hardness is nessacary and smudge over areas where u want true smoothness or leave the overall random crispiness… -
