The proper way to do cloth just takes time and effort. The games you mention have large teams with dedicated technical artists. I Just got Orange box and assasin's creed...I played AC for about 15 minutes then latched on to portal. AC give me hope that maybe one day we will have a really kick ass batman game..so far fun-factor goes to orange box.. ...Shame about turok...The N64 version is what got me wanting to make games
