I'd be really interesting in having the exact HDR maps used by 3DO for testing in Arnold actually. Eric, could you link us to the page where we can download them? Or maybe put a downloadable pack of them in the DDO wiki page? That would help a lot!
I enjoyed modeling in Modo a lot. And I've been a Maya user since 2007. It certainly is a breathe of fresh air. At the end tho I perfer to render my things in Maya due to its many selection of plug-ins. Renderman, Arnold, V-ray, Redshift3D to name a few.
It's all look pretty much like CelShading Toon Shading (you can google both and how it works.) with flat colours. In Arnold you have basically there a slot for Diffuse Flat Colors and can readjust color of the Shade that works something like on the screenshot. oO Who said this? We are using UDIMs in Mari too for our tv spot productions and 4k textures are our standard. For some characters or objects we use 8k UDIM tiles. It has no impact on the rendertime because arnold (and some other renderers) use mipmapped textures.
Edit: . No idea either. There's a deleted scene that names him as one of the casulaties in the Lost World, but since that was never released, it can't be considered canon. It also directly contradicts the 'three deaths', unless John Arnold was the mystery survivor (seems unlikely given Ellie finds his dismembered arm...)

By order of Peaky Blinder I enjoyed series so much and felt like I need to contribute something for upcoming season 6. Looking forward to next season. This is my fanart for Peaky Blinder. I used zbrush for sculpting, XYZ texturing, Substance Painter, Mari for projection. Rendered in Arnold Maya.
