Looks good to me, and welcome to the forum! The lamp might be the weakest if that's supposed to be metal. Should have more dents/folds with the material being displaced for bigger damage rather than being chipped away or eaten into the material. I think I can see the beginnings of that, but overall it still doesn't read… -

Very nice The only thing that is really lacking is some larger forms in the texture. Some nice big chunky specific damage, a large scrape here, a dent here, something purposely defined that tells a story. Right now you've just got a little bit of minor wear but none of it stands out, its just there for basic material… -

As mentioned above, the shield itself is pretty much indestructible so it makes little sense for it have any real damage to the structure. With that said, only the metal is indestructible, the paint on top of it is not. So if you want to add wear and tear you should look at paint scratches on cars, tanks, metallic weaponry… -

It's a really nice model, but what I would do to add a little bit more character to the robot is add some more dirt/damage. It's way to clean to be in the kind of situations you are situating him in here. For example, do to all the sparks at his feet he will get hit by those sparks at his legs, try to make some scratches… -

Thanks for the input. I was trying to think of more little details to add to it. I'm thinking the rear shield section would be bolted to the unit, will be added that around the edges of the piece. 10/10, would jam. I'm not a big fan of those holes in concrete though. they look very obviously photosourced, very flat and probably out of scale (too big compared to the bass). The fact that cables that go over them are 100% straight emphasizes their flat nature. Not to mention that installing stuff on a heavily damaged… -

Well... technically you can create a normal map that uses a unique UV2 or UV3 channel while the diffuse channel is using the tiling UV1 channel. It really depends on the type of damage as to how it will look. On brick, probably not so well, but I've seen a unique normal map add some much needed variation to some tiling… -

its good except that the main tiling textures are too consistently dirty, leaving the scene as a whole noisy and hard to read, if you could split them up into more types (clean, very damaged section, dirty etc) to add some variation the whole thing would be much better. you could use the "thirds" principal on the walls.…
