Okay, slightly spoiler picture here: http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii215/Garbish/MassEffect32012-03-1123-35-11-74.jpg Still at work so can't check it, but if that is not a Photoshopped picture of that character's extra outfit, then someone at Bioware has been kinda nasty ;)
Noors : I'm not exactly in Nantes (30 kms south), but for the price you pay, I rent a 115 sqm house with 300 sqm garden :D and I'm 1 hour drive from the ocean. But yeah Nantes is a very nice city, I go there quite often.
That sounds close. The poly count for the mudbox model was about 5 million, then i polycrunched it down to about 1.3 million polygons. When using polycrunch you want to get that count down to about 25% of the original. It should still have all the detail in there even at that much.
I didn't see this posted so I thought I'd shout out that the Unearthly challenge done by pixelgoat and tor frick (http://www.pixelgoat.se/viewImage.php?id=110) was showcased in the Exhibition section of the March 09 3d World Magazine. Congrats!!! its cool to see fellow polycounters pop off the pages of the magazine.
Hello, I wanted to share my recent personal project with you. Kylo Ren lighsaber. It was susposed to be a "game ready hero prop/weapon". The object is 11k tris, and uses one set of 2k textures (PBR). I would like to hear your opinons, and critiques. model
I've been having trouble with Zremesher because it always dramatically decreases my polycount by hundreds of thousands. Even if I check on keep the same polycount, half, or double, and turn off adaptive density, it goes down from about 1.3 million to about 100k polys. Any suggestions?
You still have the numeric control. Select an object. Set it to scale mode. Type in 1, 1.3, -1, -2.5 etc in the offset fields. You can scale in single axis. Type in absolute fields you can scale the whole. There is also numeric input for stepping scale control.

And its out, $119 (20% off). Here is the manual: http://modo.docs.thefoundry.co.uk/MODO-Steam/v1/ One developer had this to say: "MODO Steam Edition is not meant to replace MODO as a professional tool for your game development. It is intended to allow for the creation of workshop items." So its probably not worth it.
