So this is something I've had a hard time figuring out for a good while now. it seems like something that was avoided in alot of games in the PS2/Xbox/GC era, but a few games and some mods from the era seemed to try and solve it. Does anyone here have any content for doing running water effects within those specs? I'm…
Redo the chainmail it's stretched and looks bad as a result. There are many tutorials on imm brushes micro mesh, poly groups tutorials etc that can be applied to chainmail online. . Face could use some work as well
It's generally a bad idea to use Edit Poly on top of Unwrap UVW. This makes the model very unstable, prone to problems like this. It is best to collapse the modifier stack after using Unwrap, then do further edits in the base Editable Poly modifier. To fix this model, I would collapse the stack, then run Reset Xform on it…
Most modelers are bad designer. For them its better to use good designs from conceptartists. If you have the skill to design your own its even better. But its not a good idea to model bad designs. Your portfolio wont stand out.
hmm yeah looks good, but it would be a good idea to separate the materials quite a bit more. it's a tad hard to read as it is. IMO, go back and remove all your noise, and play with the large shapes until they read very clearly, and then start adding back in some texture to the extent that you need it. Also, it wouldn't be…
Hmm, only ever work with an hourly/day rate is easy advice to give but very hard to follow. Most clients will want at the very least a rate and a time estimate from you, and many clients will insist on you sticking to a specific rate. In these situations it's of the utmost importance to understand how long it takes you to…
Have you tried reformatting? If that doesn't work, most likely cause is your hard drive going bad from my experience (has to do with problems reading/writing windows background tasks into memory). It's also possible to be RAM/VRAM related, but typically if those parts were going bad it would just result in crashes.
Using bevel modifier on your lowpoly is a valid workflow. The downside is mostly the limitation of the modifier. It works well on cubes and simple shapes but will usually fall apart when used on complex objects. It's just a different workflow for different purposes than traditional subd modeling. You can also use a bevel…
First, about creating the upper eyelid crease, I agree it's a pain and I don't know how to do it in zbrush. I'd probably try to create two different objects (tools?) for the tarsal plates part of the eyelids and only combine them with the rest of the face later when the fat pads and eyebrows are 100% done, so they don't…
I have got a really bad problem...After I changed all the settings, things were fine. Until I exported everything as FBX, because when I export things as .OBJs the 'unwrapping' doesn't trasfer with it the mesh information to another new scene. Certain objects were fine but when I tried to attach pieces together this is…
