Do the grunge to an extent, if you look at pictures of London's underground it isn't all THAT dirty, but I think chewing gum and such would be a nice touch. Your concept needs some advertisements, which are absolutely everywhere in train stations, you could use it to bring in some nice complementary colours to your scene.…
All the BF characters I did had world\object space maps. Its rare, but it works just the same if your engine is set up for it. FBX's import pretty much perfectly, although I had some issues with smoothing using fbx's. (Although I had the same issue using FBX's exported from Maya 2011 as well).
