If you don't use gpu renderers, an AMD videocard is more than enough. But i suppose you use them, 11GB is indeed not enough. The RTX 3090 with its 24GB is a good option, but quite expensive for what it offers. -

Oh that's good to hear. I suppose. I'm in school right now and the cost per class is $4000 and the general instruction isn't great.. For $1300, weekly crits, and someone who knows the pipeline well.. seems pretty good in comparison. -

The required count is 1300 tris by the way, unless the rules have changed. I also prefer to optimize instead of adding, just check the silhouette and slash thru them polys!. -

Here's the thing, if the pricing was around the price of the new consoles, or even slightly more, it might have been justifiable, because the games are often so much cheaper. But $1,090 for an i3 processor? Really? That being said, I'm now thinking the reverse. If I find a sale on one these, at a good price, I may get one… -

I bought a 21ux refurbished about 2 years ago and it is still amazing. Was only 1300 if I remember right too. Easily one of the best purchases I have made over the last few years for my career/arts....
