Add clavicle to simplified drawing I think will help you to see where is the main problem Also check your legs , knee(patella) and foot should point in similar directions on a standing leg + left leg is missing sartorius/gracilis inner knee bulge When in doubted take the pose yourself , could use mirror too
They have a huge selection of videos covering many topics, but their instructors are not very skilled artists. It's only good for learning the bare minimum of how to use a piece of software. It's kind of like having a five-year-old teach you how to draw with crayons. They might know how it's functionally done, but you…
@Kawe: well, cubic mapping is simple but unfortunatelly it will outcome with unwanted visible seams i suppose... @perna: I am afraid I don't get your point. Could you draw what are you talking about on top of my screenshot and attach such mockup? because i don't get it actually what you are suggesting to connect.
Can you show an image with the model's wireframe on? Either in Painter, or in Zbrush with Draw Polyframe on? I suspect it's an issue with vertex normals and triangulation. The good news is that Painter is projection based. Even if you completely retopologize the model and redo its UVs, as long as it's the same size and…
Half price, in fact. The Intuos 2 pen has a fault line around its middle. If you tend to draw heavy-handidly as I do, you might want to check out the Intuos 3 - I think they've redesigned the structure a little so that the damn things don't break in half after 6 months of regular use.
Draw a tight concept, then model and texture it. Okay, now do this over and over and over and you will discover how all the other great artists improve. Do it in your bathroom or dumpster, don't matter. Creativity, enthusiasm and inspiration come from within. Sorry, I know this isn't the answer your looking for but I think…
thanks for the replies guys. Malcolm this plant was for my demo reel, before I canned that until my drawing/sketching improves....so its acturally now just a general modelling/exsperience gaining exercise. Hopefully ill get round to putting a BIG update on my site, which will include these attempts at organic matter...hehe.…
It's probably just luck of the draw. I've got a Western Digital at home which has been fine for over 5 years, and a Seagate SATA drive in my desktop here, hopefully it'll last as long. Also got a really old Western Digital one from about 1995 which still works perfectly. It's only 360mb, though
i'd like to know whether the guy used studio techniques to build up his crowd scenes (like from the pre-photoshop days) or if he really did just start drawing from the back row downwards. Totally bloody impressive whatever though, i loved them as a kid, could read a single picture for hours ...
the enhanced lighting was a good choice! love everything about the model, except for the front claws. For me, the shadow(It should be angled based on the key light, not the fill. As well as fading it out as it distances itself from the character.) and front claws are the draw backs on the shot, as butt_sahib mentioned.…
