simplification of the plastics is just a necessity due to the nature of the production process, forgeworld stuff is generally more detailed cos they do short run resin production, ....and charge accordingly! make stuff based on the art, not the miniatures I say.
I know you have settled on metal now so go with that, but I'm half convinced this is actually supposed to be carbon fiber. Thas just judging from the pattern and they way it has worn/scratched looks more like a resin.
It all depends on how fast the thing is, and how expensive the resin raw materials are. If it is inexpensive and fast enough, you could use it to make limited edition runs of your work. Sell those for the right price and the thing could pay for itself in a year or two. Of course, this is assuming that your work is good and…
Hey guys! 3d printing is opening up a whole new place for us digital 3d artists to make model kits of our own. I wanted to put together some kind of list or place for the ones I've seen that are put together by the artist(s) themselves and not the typical comic hero figure. If you've got one that's not there, please share…
Thats a pretty neat take on 3d printing, but i cant understand how that could be economically better than abs resin. Printer paper and ink are both ridiculously expensive, and it seems like a ton of waste for the areas of the paper that arent used
My client Eoctek3d #3dprint the Emperor #Valkorion from #starwars #swtor #starwarsfan I made as #commission work for them a great 3d print with #resin made originally with #Pixologic #ZBrush and #Maya check the full project at ArtStation https://bit.ly/3F81n7I
I wanted to make him a little hand gun like in the comic strip but maybe I'll make another one with a more dynamic pose. I also want to experiment with making some resin casts of him as well. Thanks for the comment :D
Hey all, I had a model of mine printed in 3d. This piece is 11 inches tall. Planning to kit it so if anyone is interested, please PM me. It comes in 5 parts, solid polystone resin, unpainted and requires assembly (as with most kits). Price is $270 shipped worldwide.
Hi everyone, Here goes some of the stuff I worked on this year... Starting with the Duman multikit model. * Concept by Macs Gallo * Sculpted by me (Hector Moran) * Painted by Fabrizio Russo (Demon Version) Scale: 75mm Pieces: About 20 Material: Resin cast Boxart shot:
As a press promotional item I'd love to get one. Yes it would be better if they were encased in resin or something so they were a thematic paperweight (legally speaking) but its a great promo piece to go along with a mobster game. Good idea, bad execution.
