Yea disable the low ploy shadow casting, or inside edit poly under element sub object mode hide all the pieces, but keep the object selected, then render.
I outlined the part I wanted to cut out from the "Lowerreceiver." Then extruded it to cut through the object on the X-Axis. Then it just adds an object, and does not cut. Disregard any sloppy work, I am brand new to Blender.

I'm having trouble sculpting hard surface objects. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or a solid tutorial to maintain sharp edges yet in certain areas, makes objects feel more organic? Anything would be appreciated =D
I am currently trying to learn how to properly use unity for a project but i'm not really sure where to begin, so far, all I know is how to use assets and to move objects and import objects. Where should I start now?
