well, your high poly sculpt is great. good proportions and detail around the joints, etc. if you need references on how high poly hair is done, you can go to zbrushcentral.com or to the pixologic website and look for some blogs. i believe i saw a video on how to create sculpted hair there. but keep up the good work.
i tried sculptris out as well but it still needs a few improvements regarding brushes, a larger variety maybe, such as the scrape brush in mudbox. It was all cool when it was owned and created by a small team but now that Pixologic has it i'm expecting much more from them. But at least its free, only sculpting app which is…
I hope to hell Pixologic doesn't get in the bloat bandwagon, because there is not byte of ram I can spare when running zbrush. I still use Photoshop 5.0, for 99% of my texturing. I just fire up CS2 when for warping or using brushes. I'm basically working in abandonware. (it's from 1998 ) damn emoticons
many thanks for the replies. I will change it when I have time again. @ Jackablade I use Sculptris 1.02 (it got bought from pixologic in this year) you can easily reduce the detail where you don´t need it and add where you have to have it. my second program is Blender (it is for Teturing,Rigging and other stuff)
Hello! I got a problem where I've set up custom brushes in my zbrush interface, but when I close out of the program, and come back, the brushes have disappeared from their dock. I have to reload them again and put them back. I've saved config and ui. And downloaded a plugin from pixologic that was suppose to fix that…
Well I've been contemplating it for a bit and decided I'd start a digital sketchbook where I can show the stuff that doesn't usually get to the WAYWO thread. I appreciate feedback on every and all things and for the most part it empowers me to grow and learn. Without further ado here are a couple speed sculpts I did last…
Hi I am looking for some Zbrush alphas that I can use for architecture. Patterns and emboss styles. I've tried searching the internet but keep coming across organic alphas I was doing the Video Tutorial: Project Master Techniques with Sebastien Legrain from the pixologic site. In video 3 he shows using an alpha (SYDE0114).…
This is very very very questionable, especially when zbrush cant bake nor paint ptextures like ptex diffuse, ptex displacement, ptex vector displacement, etc. If you get into a ptex workflow zbrush is not really your go to thing and pixologic doesnt seem to have an answer for this even though ptex has been open sourced for…
I think some of those jagged edges you're seeing are from the low resolution nature of my view screen without any AA. The color is just the hulk matcap from the pixologic download center. Thanks for the positive feedbacks though. I'm in the proccess of baking the low res mesh right now, so hopefully it all goes smoothly :P
First time I found a pixologic plugin pretty useless (at first glance at least !). Exept the very first part of the video with the quick all-in-one 3D/paint-over which could be usefull to do directly in Zbrush, I really don't get why they try to fight against PS or Painter. World domination, maybe ;) Another free plugin,…
