thanks for the comments, I did it for an art test, the brief was hand painted at 512, then reduced to 128, Of course, It didnt help that I picked a car with lots of stickers on it though
@Free_fall: those loops are super sexy! :) Original texture 512 but 256 holds up pretty good, i'll throw on some Q3 tech shaders for nice reflective chrome.
A new piece in the works, still wip, comments are welcome. Hes under 1000 tries and I'm working on a 1024x1024 texture, will probably scale down to a 512 when I finished.
My first post on polycount! Yay! :D So i've made this - hes a Psycho a suicide bot Model Under 700 texture at the moment 2k but in the end will be 512 tops
woodesh - if it's really going to be large enough on screen to justify a 2048², you don't have nearly enough polygons. A model like this shouldn't have/need more than a 512².
@Littlenorwegians Those are amazing! I've still got a little bit of cleaning up but I just posed her so here is a shot: 512 texture and about 1.7k tris
For an upcoming Android game, 180 + 170ish tris, diffuse 512 (going to be resized to 256). It's going to be a survival game, that's why their faces are so :[ heheh /edit 128 seems to be enough, after all
