Grab a paper business card and put it under your hand. Where the meaty part of your hand meets the wacom plastic. No more dragging from the friction between your hand and the board. It's very smooth. it's mostly useful for large strokes, btw.
you finished making the asset/character in maya/blender/3Ds etc then what? how do you handle hand-off? where do you do review/feedback with production/dev/marketing teams? is this even an issue?
One thing I do if I am having problems with hands, is to just look at my hands. They are perfect reference that I can manipulate to look at any angle. Really focus on the major forms of the hand. Break down the shapes, and really study the anatomy of the hands.

I don't see a sword in the screen-right hand. It looks like you uploaded a weapon meant for the main-hand, but physically put it into the off-hand position (or vice versa).
