I have paid up to $45 for boolean modeling scripts. MOP Boolean has been the most expensive for me in recent memory. I balk at that $500 plugin for Maya that does high poly modeling. I feel they are incredibly necessary for triple A work.
Some pieces won't always be clean power of 2 in PS, for example if you wanted any 45 degree angle wall its gonna stretch your UV unless you unwrap. Here is a good resource http://www.philipk.net/tutorials/modular_sets/modular_sets.html
We got a fair bit up here in the North-East aswell this morning - the traffic was mayhem because of it. 2 hours to get to the end of my road this morning meant I eventually got to work 2 hours 45 minutes later than usual! :(
The on-call IT guys from Microsoft must be crying right now. "Hey, 63% of the Bioshock download servers just exploded. We've got 4 casualties so far. Steve was one of them. Do you mind coming in?" 45 minutes to get 13%
I have seen some great mechanical sculputres made in zbrush but I never got around to how they made perfect 45 degree or 90 degree angles? These arent on flat surfaces either so i dont think they would be made using projection master. Also the crossing designs on this.
doing some modular practice. did a quick 45 minute normal map with nDo only. separated into 6 (or more depending on how its cut) difference pieces. just trying to find a neat way to get some pieces that can be brought into unreal and tile all over. :D
Going to be heading out here around 10:30-10:45 or so. Need to get gas, pick up Karm then we'll be heading over. Friend of mine said lines were long Fri/Sat so I don't want shit seats. See ya guys there!
The problem seems to be with the shops and not with the consumers, set a fixed rate pre-ownned sale or something and publishers/developers create a ranking system for their games? I don't know, if you pay £45 for a game and it lasts 8 hours, what do you do with it afterwards? Let a friend borrow it maybe?
Ride a bike indeed. I bicycle any time I can, 4.5 miles to and from work. Not only saves money but is great exercise. I have a motorcycle as well, so 10 dollars fills my tank on 91 premium, where I get about 45 mpg.
