Interested! I'm trying to get back into the habit of drawing regularly, might as well have an output like this collab since I can't really keep at purpose-less sketching for too long. Here's a couple of semi-steampunky pieces I've done- http://chrisdejoya.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/shadowengines.jpg?w=950&h=1342…
centroidal voronoi tesselation (stabilized voronoi diagrams with delauney triangulation) yield the best results. Maybe some tools/plugins exist for distributing vertices according to it. it's typically used in physics especially FEM http://hpfem.math.utep.edu/felina/attachment/wiki/Projects/piece1.png…
I think the bigger issue for students is to be assured they'll have lasting jobs and matching salaries after they graduate. Disney for example, laid off it's experienced and degreed IT workers in its theme parks and replaced them with workers from India.…
Well, what I mean is that if you were to add 3d glasses to this 3d head, the branches would end up floating above the graphic representation of the ear. The 3d scan could also have been confused by the undercuts and overall complexity of the human ear ... example…
Nice eay subject this one, good to see it taking shape. I'd say the folds around the sleeves could do with another pass as it appears like a rubber suit the way some of the folds intersect. And I'm in full agreement with Fred2303 regarding the specular values - tone them down as that's adding to that rubber/plastic feel.…
Yesss, I was wondering how this piece was coming! The texture pass looks good! How dark is that base color black though? It looks very dark and maybe that's intentional -- but if you're sticking to what's technically PBR correct you'll probably want to use a value like 0.8 or 0.9 or something, so that you can get a true…
UPDATE 04/09/2017 Updated the main post. Thanks for the feedback, I did end up loosening some edges up. Oh yeah I saw that, decided that I will fix it after I found a good fix for my baking problem EDIT: Had some more free time, upping my samples from 2 to 8 solved all the problems I had with the baking. Now just to bake…

They are most likely using a command buffer or direct memory address to speed up drawcall performance, it's very common these days. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff569747%28v=vs.85%29.aspx http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb172234%28v=vs.85%29.aspx…
lol, i made some draws time ago about a similar skin for quinn XD In my opinion, you have a wrong idea for the wings, in game, quinn use valor for fly and those wings will loose relevance, maybe if you use a stile like a fly siut could be interesting, some similar was done in how train you dragon…
