A trimsheet can be as complex as you want it to be. You could use a tiling default concrete texture on UV set 1 und have wear or other things for Edges on UV set 2. Or use decals to do that.
@Fwap Hey thanks for the feedback. I feel you're right, i don't think the decay is consistent, or at least making sense in the way it should. I'll definitely go back and tweak these details.
White background.....really? The flesh could look like its decaying more and the General in the middle could look a bit more like a General to me. Smashing job over all though!
so ive just roughed up a quick concept sketch of the top of the hand.... unsure of the skin colour at the moment, im thinking decaying but not too sure... any crits would be great :) [IMG][/img]
I think you guys are really participating in a race to the bottom, even if you fully intend to be helpful. Ruz has been doing 3d since the dawn of time, he has a clear, distinctive style, clean work - we can nitpick minutia of topology on any random model. If Ruz was the employee and he puts extra density where it doesn't…

Couldn't I do that in the Time of Day settings? I think since this level is primarily lit by the sun(the big open spaces between the beams are glass, just haven't…
Completely agree, I am rather frustrated with the delays. As I surfed around forums it became quite clear the a hell of alot of people were having their time wasted by these delays, apparently some colleges even depend on dominance war. If that's the case then the delays are causing bigger problems then inflicting on my…
I personally spent some time studying Houdini decade or more ago but found a company would be reluctant to build their toolset on Houdini base. Same story in a way with Substance Designer actually which nobody uses really but me. Then I found all I ever wanted to do in Houdiny like complex arrays and scatter systems are…
I've done a bit more work on my scene so thought I'd post more WIP pictures. Here's what I have changed since my last post: * Made oil spill decals for the floor. * Modelled some props that can be seen at the side of the APC: a floor sheet, 3 different styles of paint can and a step-ladder. The step ladder isn't textured…
