Hey everyone I am looking for a quick way to take an existing object and specify its dimensions. For example if I have a box of a random size, I would like to select it, open some sort of menu, and type of 5x5x5 to make it a 5 unit by 5 unit x 5 unit box. What's the best way to go about doing somthing like that?
I thought I could get used to it, but the "new" floating box inside max is seriously starting to piss me off, it moves constantly. Any way to revert it back to the old 2009 style? And I honestly have no idea what it's really called, I tried searching but came up empty. And this is what I'm talking about:

Hey polycount community! I was wondering if there is a script/tool which allows the user to automatically generate smoothing groups from UVW seams in 3ds max. That should help to quickly bake normalmaps without weird seams. I hope you can help ;) Cheers sebi
Thank you, Im going to try those scripts. Im used to work in AutoCAD and everything is so precise there, I dont know why 3dsmax doesnt have an easier way for doing this.
