When has that ever happened aha? Seems alot of interesting points being thrown around here. Came since the killzone thread seems to shed light on the new pipeline for ps4 assets ;) Edit linkage; http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1825941&postcount=1 As said 20-21 mins in shows the process and materials for…
I can't believe you haven't gotten any feedback on this. It looks really good, I'm quite impressed by the quality of your explosions. The only thing that I don't care for would be the smoke trail on the debris that comes up close to the camera at 0:20-0:21. Touching that up a little would help, I think. Overall great job…

@Leinadien Thank you! I modified the arms a bit, but I think I need to do it even more to get to your image. Day 21 update: Just a quick update as to where I'm at as I completely forgot the time, and need to head to bed -.- As I've seen a few having their models in colour, I thought it would be fun to see how mine would…
Necro-thread time: [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00L9QN3LW?psc=1]This[/ame] appeared in my recommendations on Amazon. It's a £500 Cintiq knock-off with a 21" screen called a Huion GT-220 . Anyone tried one out? Edit: for some reason vBulletin scrambles the link address by adding a / between the d and the p when you…
Instead of starting the head with a box, perhaps you could try starting it with a plane and extrude around the features of the face - this is very intuitive and is my work flow. The silhouette of you're character seems wrong for a male, I find this useful when I'm working on mudbox…
Okay new update. This is day 4 of the 21 days challenge, and we decided to do a masterstudy of an environment, me and my friend. I do not paint environments a lot, I kind of tend to avoid them. I know the painting is slightly unfinished by it's a school night and I didn't begin until 20:00 and end at 01:00 so it was what I…
yeah dude. Echoing what TheFlow mentions above - I had a 24" at an old job of mine and it was just... huge. I'm on a 21 now and I have no gripes (though it would be nice if it was widescreen instead of 4:3). I can't really imagine bigger than this for my needs. I'd totally be down for a 19" wide. Curious to try the 16…
You beat me... and I thought 3do was hardcore stupid. We did 3 7 month games through 21 monthsof solid crunch time. And I turned out a huge amount of environmentla objects for Armymen world War, because the art director just told me what to do each day and never told me how much or when it was due. Scott
Yes. You can at least run Windows on the Mac, (64 bit is do-able but still need to hunt for drivers). And run DX11 stuff if needed. So no biggie. Get it. If I had the cash, I'd get the 27" and loose the Mac Mini (and get the 21" for the wife). Sucks that the lower end version locks you into a 500GB HDD. Typical Apple.
