Thats some great work man. The only thing I have to say is that the "usage" around the firemode switcher looks a bit wierd. Mabey a little more univen or not as clear (you dont switch firemode that often :P )
Ah yeah as an old maya user i already use switcher, could never get used to max navigation I can feel everything working and that I'm getting more use to it, only problem is the zoom problem i mentioned in my earlier reply
Y: try switcher, really. No need to force oneself to use inferior navigation schemes when there is a better one out there. Max's default sucks and is RSI inducing (mmb pressed all the time). Maya's relies on a much lighter setup for your hands. Health > theory!
Dude you're kind of stealing my thread here :) - only my stuff here (if you didn't notice) but it's OK I guess.. it's a public space .. I might as well start a sci fi thread - more watchers :) here's another 92-090116 scifi corridor
So I'm back on dis, updated first post with these screenies. It's baaaaaaaaaaked, well, not all of it. It's still missing 1) ringed barrel 2) sights 3) magazines 4) Fire selector switcher for m1928 (which will be shared with the m1) Everything of these things is going to be trown in a third UV
So I'm having a problem, i can't seem to use shift extrude spline, I'm wondering if this has to do with that im using switcher, but it doesn't work even if i turn it off, Is there any hotkey for this so i can re assign it?
This tech is going to be great for the upcoming game Tree Watcher. Also, I can't wait to try out another game using this called Dirt Inspector. On a serious note, improvements in graphics at this point are the least important thing in games development in my opinion.
For something like the wooden, cupboard(is that what its called?) I would recommend tiling the wood much more heavily. that way you can get much more texel density out of the 512 map. The ceramic vase or pitcher looks nice. :)
Here is a big progress update on my environment. I've added in all of the ropes into the scene, as well as a complete watcher head, bow and armor pieces. I've also made a animal pelt however it still needs some work. Finally I've improved the general lighting and started texturing the wood.
