for the tablet question: (assuming your using the right pen for your tablet model, if not thats probably the probelm.) I've had that problem a few times. I unistall, and reinstall the driver, and it usually works again. (you can download off the wacom site, as well as get new updated drivers for your tablet.) -

Sorry, but there needs to be a solid tablet ready OS for this generation. I don't know if you've ever tried to use windows 7 on a tablet without a full mouse and keyboard, but I have and it sucked. Now, you might say, then make your own OS just for tablets, but then I'm sure there'd be software issues. -
Wacom went insane
all of a sudden the pc is telling me I have a "tablet mismatch" and I can't bring up the Gui to set the tablet preferences. When I click on the tablet icon under control panel, it says "please reinstall drivers". After having upgraded and reinstalled the drivers several times, I have no clue what the issue is. My advice: Keep what you have and put your money toward software/scripts/training material. Your tablet is perfectly fine for professional work. The only factor in choosing size is your own personal comfort. Large tablets are not better than small tablets, the only thing that matters is that you can comfortably work with… -

Yup, got the latest drivers and all. Actually, it's kinda funny, but it resolved itself... After switching to extended desktop again and playing with my tablet I found out the tablet works normally, and after using the tablet for a while the mouse stopped teleporting around my screen by itself. Apparently there's pressure sensitivity for terrain sculpting, but it seems kinda pointless unless they put in UI adjustments for tablets as well.
