I'm actually going to use this thread for my Final Year Project as well. I'm going to post some of the work I've already done shortly. Hopefully I'll get some feedback that I can use to expand on my designs and maybe use in my written piece. The title of the project is "A Study on Infusing Vehicles with Personality for…
Geez, that blows. I think the amount you talking about suing for is low enough to qualify for small claims, which wouldn't require a lawyer (and his fees). Problem is, you'd have to show up for court in CA, which will cost you a flight/drive. That's when you have to start balancing out how much the trouble is worth to you.…
Vehicle #09 texturing/uvs/modeling completed. This is the asset rendered in the Unity Game Engine. The vehicle is loosely based around a Focus RS racing vehicle. This model came in at 875 polygons and a 512 x 512 texture map.
We’ve all been there. You find a "bargain" 3D studio or a freelancer with a killer ArtStation, but three weeks later, you’re the one staying up until 2 AM fixing non-manifold geometry and flipped normals. The truth? The hidden cost to make a video game isn't the initial invoice — it’s the "rework tax." If you’re a Lead…
hay figured i'de chime in. I was kinda thinking what about a vehicle battle/attack/defend, since its a semi vehicle battle it can be slightly bigger than a standard arena, but still small enough where it wont get out of hand and part timers can have fun Since i've been on a HUGEEEEEEEEEEE Tron kick, (with tron legacy just…
Hi guys, so I plan on making a vehicle, A dune type buggy vehicle. looking at a vehicle kinda like Mad Max I guess, but I wanna combine a Humvee shape with a Buggy look if that makes sense. heres a moodboard.
Hey Dai, I'd say the first issue with your portfolio is that you are shooting at too broad of a profession. In locations like Asia and such you'd be able to get away with throwing anything into a portfolio just as long as it looks good (not all but quite a few countries/studios) but in the western industry the majority of…
Reiro: Thanks man! roosterMAP: Thanks for reminding me about those vehicles :) I've done three vehicles and slowly figuring out the construction. Got 2 more vehicles to try and grasp in the scott robertson DVD before I start experimenting.
hehe if this is like battlefield 2 on PC then I might be doing the xbox360 controller for vehicles and then as soon as I jump out the vehicle change to mouse and keyboard - it was the only way I could really enjoy vehicles in battlefield 2 :P sucks when your trying to get used to it tho
