need somekind of tool that allows to cut meshes
Hey guys, im currently in need of some kind of tool to add to this specific workflow where i need to cut a mesh in specific areas. Say you have a sofa that is a single mesh, but i want to cut it on the side pillows and on the seats so then i can select them independently. I know how to do this in max, i can draw a line… -

I'm not sure I understand though, all edges in the test mesh were soft edges to begin with, specifically, in order to test whether the baker uses the exact same tangent space as the engine. If I used hard edges in the test object, I could have baked in pretty much any package, there is no… -

This looks pretty good man! I think my main crit is everything looks too soft. I like how you beat up the gun but all the metal edges are super soft which just looks odd to me. Thanks for the tips 3DBrushwork. The line on the center of the table is the shadow coming in from the window behind the sofa. Looking a bit more closely, it's strange that I can't see the same shadow on the books. Good point about the plants and increasing resolution / sharpness of the coffee table.
