Is the Wacom Grapphire 4x5 passable?
I'm student on a budget so the cheapie Graphhire 4x5 looks attractive. But I wonder if the size of the 4x5 in the comparison to the larger and more expensive tablets will hinder the experience? Very sad. A friend of mine (game designer) is in these sixty people. MyWorld was presented to attract investors but it was already too late. Maybe they will keep their team small waiting to new cash flow. Next to them, Ruffian Games isn't really in a better shape. Sad. I hope everyone will find some place to drop. -

really cute! Nice style. Maybe the gas pipe could have benefited from more edge loops here and there. Also the yellow bars attracts too much attention I think. The focus point should be near the bed/tv I guess but the red sheets are hardly readable against a red wall. -

Ah yeah thats probably right. Vertex lighting like that with DS art doesn't work very most of the time because you're working with some few polys. Its quicker and easier to get an attractive result to drop the vertex colours in by hand. At least thats been the case on all the projects I've worked on. -

2d/3d section works. look at the thread for xnormal. Pimping also works if you're wanting to show something off. Problem would probably be that polycount is known as an artists forums, so attracting programmers would be a little harder. That being said I am probably going to pimp a program either today or tomorrow. -

The game industry is a very close knit one, especially the art side, and polycount is one of the few web hubs for it. Your attitude is a good way to get yourself ostracized. good luck with your game. if you want serious talent to be attracted to your work, it might be worth investing some money to pay a freelancer. -
What would Quixel Mixer have to fix, to become an industry standard software ?
When asked about, what's a good software for texturing, I bet many of you would say Substance Painter. I know, it's been longer in the field than Quixel, but I wonder, what is it lacking as from your point of view that if fixed, could make it more attractive for companies to switch to ?
