I was wondering if anyone knows of any UE3 tutorials that relate to light streams? I am lighting a cave environment and would like light streaming in from the top with dust particles moving around in the light shining down? I am looking for a shader network and what is required etc. Thanks for any help...
I have already made a post about the topic in cgsociety and Im currently not posting via pc so forgive me for copypasting. I think the problem is related to matte surfaces but I cant figure it out! http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=21&t=1431153
Some ingame screenies (just my testscene tho) i made for luxology for their games related modo presentation. It's all a shameless plug too. We're still looking for more awesome environment artists and/or texture artists (for world textures and props skins). Too many character fixed artists theses days... :/
Hello folks! Here i´ll put all the stuff related to environments and such things. This it´s my last work, finished, i´m not gonna improbe further but feel free to put any constructive feedback on it,i think i´m aware of the lacks but you never know :poly136:
I have a lot of half finished portfolio stuff I want to finish up, so this thread will be for those things, and various other art related thingies. Here's two sculpts I want to finish up soon, some design stuff and a random model I made today. crits/comments are welcome :)
Here's the most recent one of the main character for an indie game project I worked on for a few years, now defunct. Still do art related to it from time to time for fun :) Will post a link to Youtube timelapse video soon.
From what I see from your normal map, you have some inverted vertex normals on the geometry related to the second circular UVs (don't know if it's the top or bottom). Hard to tell with your few screenshots here...
I hope it's ok to necro this thread. :poly136: Was this released yet? I would really like to see it in action, but I can't find new information related to Quixels megascan. On their site - http://quixel.se/megascans/ - is sadly nothing new.
I picked environment but I'm not sure if it's the right choice, seeing as environments can be next to anything you can imagine. But I love doing props and stuff. The title says 3D artist so I'm not sure if that would be related?
