Maybe I'm missing something, but how doesn't accurate roughness detail directly translate into accurate wear detail? What makes PBR so cool is that the system is 99% designed with real world physics in mind. Every material should actually behave the way it's suppose to, it's just the artist's job to help guide the computer…
15-30 days is enough. Unless you're away from your pc 12+ hours a day or have extremely bad focus (like me) I learned how to retopo in 3D-Coat in 2 days. Just read the tool descriptions and click stuff. Its only 99$ if you just want to learn with it too.
Maya seems a lot more evil in corrupting files than Max ? In max i'm pretty sure 99% of the time corrupt files have been because Max suddenly crashed on me, not when I was working totally legit with no problems. I never had the "open it next day to find total corruptness" thing.
Something else worth noting is your lack of redundant panels and 45' angle shapes. In that regard this is already a superior design than 99% of the 'scifi' designs out there. (Though it does seem you have things moving in the door animation for the sake of movement. Yet, those things could easily be explained in cannon I'm…
Personally, I do a high poly for just about everything and run 99% of my stuff through Zbrush. I'm proficient with nDo2, but only use it as detailing tool for a good baked map. But it's a very broad question, and there are many many workflows out there. I would pick whichever makes your work look the most awesome.
This one is pretty close to being done folks. I plan on doing some minor cleanup work, but since my schedule is getting tighter I'm calling it 99% done. The railing still needs some love and the rocks need more variation texturewise, but I'm happy with how it has turned out so far.
? Most houses only have one or two tatami rooms. It's not really a status thing either, it's a preference. Is this a modern house? In japan 99% of lamps are fluorescent lights, even in homes office style lamps are used. I think those are necessary to get the right japanese feel. This beauty hanging in every japanese house…
looks good! the only thing i can see and that really bugs me is the lack of sense of speed, you look at your spedo and it says your going 99 and it doesnt feel like that .... the env isnt whipping by like it should at those speeds. how fast would these carts go? what is the engine output on them?
To be fair, the fact that Quake Live only appeared on Steam after a couple years of its lifespan AND still costs 9.99 is probably at least partly to blame for the low player base, isn't it ? That and the garish look (arguably worse than the 99 original) really doesn't make for an attractive product ... Can't wait to see…
Awesome man, it's like a crazier outside take on the original Liandri location from UT 99 which was a mining station miles down in the Earth and had some some magma areas seen through a window. UT3 version [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcrJNgR66AI"]DM-Liandri [UT 3] - YouTube[/ame]
