Hey everyone, I'm working on getting some environment pieces together, but I wanted to get some critiques before I go much further with this one. Also any help as far as lighting the scene would be appreciated; I didn't put any light sources actually in this scene because I want to make it just lit from above, but I'm not…
Hello, I have been working for last 3 months on my first scene based on The Last of Us concept art. I fall in love with UE 4! Thanks for the supports on my nebwie problems. Its not perfect and leaks in many parts but the time for this scene is out for now. Hope you like it! :) http://www.franc.portfoliobox.me/ <- more…

Hi! So I finished the scene! I resigned from modelling some smaller props and filled the scene with some quixel megascans assets. Let me know what you think. Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/lxQg6O Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yli8AVnqfk Final images: Cheers!
I believe there is some kind of mental connection between high framerates and soap operas. But there's also the thing where games and their cut-scenes will just look perfectly beautiful the higher the framerate is. I think it's going to be very interesting seeing how the hobbit will end up looking, especially with panning…
Quick update: With a little help I've managed to import the scene into UDK, and this is how it looks as of now. The light is done in haste and not very planned, but this is what I've got. All materials were created in UDK as well. Any tips to improve the scene, helpful links etc are greatly appreciated! (2493 tris, for the…
nice start ! i think you should first start with making highpoly of the scene ( all the scene ) then make you low poly and kepp going . you can check out a old contest was on http://eat3d.com/ . check out the entires and wip theard and try to see their work-flow . good luck
Get a devart- thought it's full of old pervs, scene girls and bad anthro's done is ms paint, it's still a pretty good place to store images (and occasionally get feedback from dirty old men, scene girls or bad anthro artists ). Love that you've not overdone the specular - subtlety wins here. :)
I am very impressed with your forest fire scene. I have one bit of feedback regarding your daylight scene. I think you've set the frequency of leaves falling from the trees too high, I'd recommend lowering the spawn rate by 75-95%. Very nice work.
I really like the concept, I would almost be afraid to take on a scene with so much clutter, there's a lot of unique models in there. Blockout looks good so far, though I'm wondering- are you planning on building the scene to be viewed from this one angle, or will you be building something behind the camera too?
