For me eyeballing everything have always been an only way. Because it's totally depends on your renderer and default tone mapping , auto-exposure and AO. For example anything brighter than 190 is completely blown away in our engine . In Unreal it would be probably grayish and we use same style of PBR as our programmers…
UV's don't need to be in the 0-1 space. Place them wherever you want and scale them up/down to get the tiling texture to repeat as much as desired. For unique details you could use decals, or create a second UV set that'll be rendered over the tiling one (just give the important parts UV space in the 0-1 range and mask the…
New project, HP 99% done. Time for low poly, textures, materials. Renders are really simple and i could spend some more time on them, but i would rather create awesome renders for finished project.
Hi i am new to vray. I find that vray frame buffer can allows me to preview my render as fast as i change the camera. But is that a way to use it to render animation for preview sake?? thanks
When I try to render with VrayRT using my graphics card (CUDA), I get this error line: Warning:line 1:render host xxxxxxxx (xxx.x.x.x.xxxxx) is not responding, why does this occur?

HI :) Here is one of my latest personal projects. Modeling, polypainting, and render I done in zBrush + little touch render in Photoshop:) The most important thing for me when I created this model was to improve my modeling skills.
When you are working with any shader combined with the textures for material definition, you really need to make a decision; what is the ultimate output goal? What I mean by this is your final presentation. Is it going to be in an engine or offline renderer? Creating textures for material definition in one engine/shader…
I think you posted your submission twice. So you wanted a brutal critique, well here goes. "Don't be so hard on yourself!" In fact I think your submission is pretty good. Let me elaborate. Presentation/Background/lighting I wouldn't say your presentation is bad. It tells me everything I need to know. If you're hoping to…
